From March to October, we offer exciting activities for children on a range of educational and museum-related topics. Children who participate in all parts of a theme-based tour receive a museum discoverer award and a surprise gift.
The children’s activities promote playful learning while encouraging participation. With the help of qualified educators, children become familiar with the fields of peat moorland, energy, gardens, bees and orchards through exploration, learning, hands-on experience and experimentation.
You will find the individual dates in the annual programme on our website, under Events, or you can call us on: +49 (0)5937 709990

The current regulations of the Corona Ordinance of the State of Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) and the resulting measures for the Emsland region apply: The 3G-rule (vaccinated, recovered, tested) have been in effect since September 9, 2021. The museum applies a stricter form: the 2G-rule (vaccinated, recovered).
When visiting the museum, please present your vaccination card or proof of vaccination in the app, or a certificate for recovered persons (not older than six months).
The regulations do not affect children under the age of 6 or students who are regularly tested in their schools.
All visits must still be documented on slips of paper with a time stamp. Alternatively, there is also the option of logging in on site via the German Corona-WrnApp or Luca App as a visitor to the Emsland Moor Museum or a guest of the café.
We are happy to answer any questions about the current regulations via email:
