Explore the museum by narrow-gauge railway

Narrow-gauge railways, or field railways, were used in the peat industry to transport the extracted peat. Such field railways are still running in the surrounding peatlands. Emsland Moormuseum operates a field railway with converted carriages/freight cars for passenger transportation across the museum grounds. The route is 2.5km long, and the journey takes about 25 minutes.
